Buccellati for breakfast “alla Siciliana”

This morning, it is tea and hand-made buccellati time. The buccellati are typical Sicilian biscuits filled with chocolate, figs, raisin, almonds… Normally, you should eat them during Christmas time. My mother in law knows that we are craving for those and each time we see her she makes a big box of them. It takes quite so time to make them and in Sicily, they go to the bakery to cook them (they make them in such big batches it doesn’t fit in the normal kitchen oven). If you are on a calorie-count diet, this is definitely not for you😉
