Paluzza, in the heart of Friuli

From Venice, we took the train direction Udine. From there, lo zio (bambolotta’s uncle) came to pick us up to go to their small village Paluzza, close to the Austrian border. We arrived late in the afternoon so everything was dark. We discovered the town only in the morning. The evening was perfect for bambolotta to meet her uncle for the first time!! It did not take long before she became attached to her zio (that she calls “zizi”…to pronounce dzidzi for the French readers…….!!). We also discovered the freezing nights of Friuli….grrrrrr! it is so nice to wake up and have the wood burning in the stove in the living room! This was the beginning of a very nice week!
